All Student Data is handled in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and other applicable privacy laws.

1.3. Educational Content:

To use the Service, Teachers/Parents/Students provide educational materials, which may include assignment prompts, grading rubrics, and student-submitted answers ("Educational Content"). We treat this content as a component of the student's educational record, protected under FERPA.

1.4. Usage and Technical Information:

We automatically collect certain non-personal information when you interact with the Service, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and usage patterns. This data is used for system security, analytics, and to improve the user experience.

We use the information we collect for specific, limited purposes.

2.1. Providing and Improving the Service:

We use personal information and educational content to deliver, support, and improve the full functionality of the Service—for example, to evaluate and grade assignments. 2.2. Restrictions on AI Model Training:

Your data is not used to train AI models. We do not use any Student Data or Educational Content to train our own proprietary artificial intelligence models.

We may use a Student/Teacher/Institution's email address to send important service-related notifications, updates, and support information. We will not use this information for unrelated marketing purposes without explicit consent.

2.4. Legal Compliance:

We may disclose information if we are required to do so by law, in response to a legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our company, our users, or the public.

3.1. Data Security:

3.2. Data Retention:

To provide our grading functionality, we send Educational Content (such as prompts, rubrics, and answers) to a third-party AI provider. We take steps to ensure this data is anonymized or pseudonymized and is not linked to individual student identities.

4.3. Aggregated Data:

We may share aggregated, de-identified data for research, statistical analysis, or other purposes. This data does not and cannot be used to identify any individual.

4.4. Business Transfers:

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the successor entity, which will be bound by the commitments in this Privacy Policy.

5.1. Account Management and Data Corrections:

Users can access and update their personal account information by logging into the Service.
